The Pillar of Excellence is the fourth core component of our LIFE Clubs mentorship. We believe that pursuing excellence in all areas of life is crucial for children to reach their full potential and honor God with their abilities. We teach children that Excellence is doing the best at all times, and that it’s applicable in all areas of life: actions, thoughts, speech, attitude, etc.
What is Excellence?
Excellence is outstanding mastery in fulfilling life’s purpose. It involves surpassing ordinary standards through determination and commitment to reach extraordinary performance levels. Excellence encompasses:
- Mastery: Comprehensive knowledge and technical proficiency in a field
- Virtuosity: Superb craftsmanship, creativity, and artistry
- Dedication: Diligence, perseverance, self-discipline, striving to improve
- Leadership: Inspiring & empowering others to pursue greatness in service
Biblical Perspective on Excellence
“But as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you—see that you excel in this act of grace also.” (2 Corinthians 8:7)
We teach children important aspects of excellence such as the significance of doing the best in everyday things that prepares them for future success. And more importantly living a life of excellence is a life lived to glorify God and not for merely for people.
Importance of Excellence
Excellence is crucial in various aspects of life:
- Self-improvement: Builds character, knowledge, abilities, and confidence
- Meaning: Provides purpose, engagement, and fulfillment
- Influence: Inspires others, multiplies success, and expands positive impact
- Legacy: Leaves a lasting contribution and example for others
Giving your best in everything
“Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.” (Proverbs 22:29)
We help children understand that pursuing excellence leads to:
- Personal growth and satisfaction
- Recognition and opportunities
- A life that honors God
- Positive influence on others
